Benj is the Philippines Country Policy Manager at the Future Energy Storage & System Integration Alliance (FESSIA), where he leads the organization’s engagement in the Philippines to support policy development, stakeholder collaboration, and market acceleration for energy storage and system integration in the country’s energy transition.

Benjie brings cross-sector experience spanning power systems research, energy storage technology development, and clean energy deployment. His work has focused on battery energy storage systems, grid flexibility, distributed energy solutions, and the techno-economic integration of renewable energy technologies. With a background bridging academia and industry, he brings a systems-level perspective to advancing practical policy and market pathways for scaling energy storage in support of a more resilient, flexible, and decarbonized power system.

Prior to joining FESSIA, Benj worked in the energy storage sector, contributing to the development and commercialization of battery technologies and deployment models for off-grid, commercial, industrial, and transport electrification applications in the Philippines.
