Alastair Richards
Alastair is a mission-driven commercial leader. Having worked in business development and revenue-generating roles for the past 10+ years, he has helped and advised many international industry players on how to showcase products & solutions, raise brand awareness and market penetration into the APAC region. Originally with an engineering background, his career has since seen him take up leadership positions in the media industry.
Alastair’s career in energy and renewables began in 2018, generating sponsorship & exhibition revenue for tier 1 large-scale regional events in APAC. Most recently he has held senior leadership positions with the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and CloserStill Media in Singapore, leading sales teams and spearheading commercial strategies for new event launches, summits, conferences, exhibitions and digital & advertising sales.
Alastair’s interest in energy storage stems from his extensive work in recent years with OEMs, manufacturers, project developers, service providers and more from across the entire value chain of the power & energy industry.
Originally from the UK, Alastair spent the past three decades in Singapore and as a result has a global outlook and a deep understanding of regional dynamics.
