Mats de Ronde is the Head of Energy Markets & Strategy APAC for DNV Energy Systems, where he is responsible for DNV’s services on market modelling, generation planning, forecasting and market design.

He has a decade of experience advising public and private sector stakeholders across Europe and Asia on navigating the energy transition through the techno-economic analysis of renewable and low-carbon energy technologies, assessment of system impacts and integration routes, and the development of policy and regulatory roadmaps to stimulate adoption.

His specialist subject is on the role of flexibility in developing future-proof energy systems, with a focus on the role of BESS and demand response.
