Dr. Tharinya Supasa

Dr Tharinya Supasa is leading ASEAN renewable flagship initiatives of the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Department (SRE) at the ASEAN Centre for Energy. She has worked on a broad spectrum of insider-track ASEAN's renewable strategic initiatives, integrated plans, knowledge sharing and evidence, policy papers, and structural reform of energy supply and end-use sectors to foster energy transition to align with ASEAN's 2045 economic vision. Some selected works are the ASEAN Renewable Energy Long-term Roadmap (RE LTRM), the cross-border ASEAN Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) framework, Power System Transformation, the ASEAN cooperation framework on biofuel and bioenergy, SAF, and enhancing a competitive green hydrogen supply chain. Her work encompasses partnership engagement aimed at supporting ASEAN member states, with a particular focus on the renewable energy sub-sector network.
